Gafoor, the industrialist in news refutes charges.

More than 50 fax messages are reported to have been received at the AKG Bhavan, the headquarters of the party in New Delhi, urging Mr Karat to refrain from attending the dinner.

Kozhikode: The Kozhikode unit of the CPI(M) is facing an unprecedented acid test. Factionalism within the party has taken a new turn with the Achuthanandan loyalist camp using posters as the primary weapon to take on the official faction. Posters warning Prakash Karat, the general secretary of the party against his proposed participation in a dinner hosted by an industrialist, close to Pinarayi Vijayan hit areas in an around Kozhikode city.

The posters plead to Karat, not to fall in the trap laid by those who aim the destruction of the party. Mr Karat is scheduled to visit Wyanad to attend an agricultural seminar conducted by the CPI (M). it's alleged that Gafoor, a well known industrialist and a close friend of Mr Pinarayi Vijayan, the state secretary of the party is trying to arrange a dinner in his house for Mr Karat.

More than 50 fax messages are reported to have been received at the AKG Bhavan, the headquarters of the party in New Delhi, urging Mr Karat to refrain from attending the dinner.

Speaking to Asianet News, Mr Gafoor refuted the allegations and clarified that he had never thought of hosting a dinner for Mr Karat. He termed the reports regarding such a possibility as baseless.

Posters against Mr Pinarayi Vijayan have appeared in large numbers in Nadapuram area of the dsitrict. Though the official faction had destroyed the posters they continued to appear in different areas creating a headache for the supporters of Mr Vijayan.

The deepening of factionalism has in a way hit the preparations for the Nava Kerala Yatra, led by Mr Vijayan. The official faction is planning to convert the reception venues for the yatra as an ideal platform to showcase their strength. They are planning to bring in more than 15,000 supporters to each reception venue sending out a clear signal to the VS loyalists.

hai every body,

did you see the elimination round of idea star singer 2008 on 26-01-2009. the contestant vivekanand was promoted to next round for the reason that he was a best performer in the previous round and he got 65000+ votes. the other contestant also performed well in their previous rounds. some of them were eliminated for the reason lack of SMS. if SMS is the basic for selection why they put such experienced and known judges like sarath, unnikrishnan etc. by paying lakhs of rupees. they can decide who will win 1crore rupee value flat based on the SMS of viewers.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a 'very high speed', his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Swedish Police estimate a speed of ~250 KM/h (155 mph) before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection. At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Stockholm Motorcycle Fair by the Swedish Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license.

At 250 KM (155 mph) the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to SEE-DECIDE-REACT of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the Swedish police indicate that no actions were taken.

In other words, they didn't even have time to say, 'Oh, ####!'

1)Do you think that the CAG who first noticed the irregularities in Lavline case was not aware of the points you have raised like original documents,Global Tenders MOU Route and others. Do you think that The CBI is such a bunch of fools who overlooked these points in such a sensitive case.

2) We all know that the Vigilance branch of state police can be influenced by ruling parties

Soorya Nelli,Abhaya case Kunhalikutty case are afew examples

So we can not rely on Vigilance in cases involving heigher ups.

3)The date and time of the submission of enquiry report was fixed by the Hon High Court.So why are we blaming others for the time of submission of the report.

4)The total amount offered for the Cancer institute was 100 crores and the amount recieved was only 12 crores.Where did the remaining amount go?

5)From where did the Technicalia come and to where did it disappear after the Lavline deal and sponsoring of Mr Vijayan's son for foriegn study.

6) We all agree that Mr.Vijayan was agood minister. But that is not an excuse for misapropriating public money. The appointment of party secretary is Party affair.But bringing the party to power is a public affair. So it is the duty of the party to bring untainted people to lead the party .Otherwise poeple will reject the party. Remember CPM has a membership of only 2 crores in all India level where the population is more than100 crores.

7) Do not forget that the letter given by VS to PB contained almost all the allegations reported by the CBI.

8) Why the CPM is making this much hue and cry if Mr.Vijayan is innocent. Mr Vijayan should have left the post of party secretary and come back after he is cleared of the allegations.

THe CPM will be destroyed by its leaders themselves if things go like this.The leaders are leading a luxurias life from the kickbacks.(From branch level to the top).Even the PB is not an exception.
